What DayLift is, how the prompts work, and how we handle confidentiality — answered plainly.
Getting started
What is DayLift?
DayLift is a learning platform for US tax and financial professionals. A free daily 5-minute Signal keeps you current on what matters in AI, and the Academy teaches you to put it to work in your practice.
Who is it for?
CPAs, EAs, accountants and financial advisors — and the teams around them. Everything is written for practitioners, not engineers.
Do I need to be technical or know how to code?
No. Every prompt, tool and course is step-by-step and built for non-technical professionals. If you can fill in a form, you can use it.
How do I sign in — is there a password?
No password. Enter your email and we send a secure one-time sign-in link that expires in 15 minutes. One less thing to forget or leak.
Prompts & tools
What makes your prompts different from a generic prompt list?
Each one is built for tax and finance workflows, tested against a specific AI model on a specific date, confidentiality-aware, and shown with real result screenshots. We keep a small, curated set with substance — quality over quantity.
Which AI tools do the prompts work with?
Claude, ChatGPT, Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot. Every prompt is tagged with the platform — and the exact surface (e.g. Claude Code vs. Claude Chat) — it's tuned for.
How do I get a prompt?
Browse the public library, enter your email to unlock a full prompt instantly, or register free to access the whole library inside your account.
Can I build my own prompt?
Yes. The free Prompt Builder assembles a tested prompt from a few dropdowns. Logged in, the Prompt Studio adds more controls and refines your prompt further with AI.
How do you keep the prompts up to date?
AI models change fast, so every prompt carries a “verified on <date> with <model>” stamp and is re-checked. If a prompt ages, you'll see it.
Confidentiality & compliance
Is it safe to use these with client data?
The prompts are designed to keep client data safe — many run as a single file in your own browser, so nothing leaves your computer. Each prompt notes what it needs and any confidentiality steps.
What about IRC §7216?
Where it's relevant, prompts include the IRS-mandated language and a clear reminder to confirm the current wording at IRS.gov and have your attorney or state board review it. They're templates to speed you up — not legal advice.
Do you train AI on my data?
No. We don't ask for client data, and the tools that touch sensitive figures are built to run locally in your browser rather than send anything to us.
Plans & account
What does it cost?
The daily Signal and a set of free prompts and tools cost nothing. Pro is a subscription that unlocks the full prompt library and more; some full courses are available pay-as-you-go. See the Pricing page for current details.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes — you can cancel your Pro subscription anytime from your account, and you keep access until the end of your billing period.
What do you do with my email address?
We send the daily Signal and occasional product updates — and you can unsubscribe from any email in one click. See our Privacy page for the details.
